BESEYA BLON Project

The BESEYA BLON project, a follow-up to JI NI BESEYA, was implemented in partnership by the organizations One Drop, CNHF, and WaterAid. This four-year project aimed, through a behavior change approach, to improve the living conditions of approximately 120,000 vulnerable people in terms of access to safe drinking water, hygiene, and sanitation (WASH) in 16 health centers and 12 rural communities in the Bla and Kati districts.

Component B of this project, coordinated by the Kôrè Cultural Center, used social art to raise awareness, mobilize, and influence the sociocultural behaviors of communities. It relied on the involvement of change leaders and the production and dissemination of thematic and multidisciplinary performances related to water, hygiene, and sanitation, as well as capacity building for local artists, troupes, and stakeholders. Performances were presented in person and/or using the Kôrè-SADA tools developed by the Kôrè Cultural Center.
