Kôrè Media Library
The Kôrè media library is a research and reading space dedicated to young people, researchers and cultural actors.
It is a specialized library as a center of quality resources and reference documentation in the arts and culture sector in West Africa.
Objective and vision
The general objective of the media library is to meet the needs of researchers, academics, cultural actors and artists from Mali and elsewhere by providing them with documentation on arts and culture.
Its vision is to be a quality resource and documentation reference center specializing in the arts and culture sector in West Africa.
Mission
The Kôrè Media Library will help facilitate supervision and university research in the fields of management, social science, hospitality and tourism. Other key missions of this media library relate to information, artistic education and culture, which are as follows:
- create and strengthen the habit of reading among cultural actors and artists, as well as among academics in Mali in general and Ségou in particular;
- supporting both self-education as well as conventional education among young people;
- stimulate the imagination and creativity of children and young people through artistic education;
- develop a sense of cultural heritage, a taste for the arts, scientific achievements and innovations;
- develop intercultural dialogue and promote cultural diversity;
- support oral tradition through publications of a scientific nature.
Target audiences
The target audience of the Kôrè Media Library is made up of researchers, cultural actors, artists, academics, students, as well as children and young people.

2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
