AWA Project | ACP-EU Cultural Programme – Support for the cultural and creative sectors in West Africa

The AWA project, entitled “ACP-EU Culture Programme: Support for the Cultural and Creative Sectors in West Africa,” is a proposal from the consortium of the Institut français in Paris and the Kôrè Cultural Center in Ségou, within the framework of the ACP-EU Culture Programme, a joint initiative of the European Union (EU) and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS). This is a new regional mechanism aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of cultural and creative industries in ACP countries for a period of three years.

This project aimed to support the strengthening of the competitiveness of cultural and creative industries (CCIs) throughout the value chain (creation, production and distribution) in 16 West African countries. It was implemented in partnership with the Korè Institute of Arts and Crafts (IKAM).

Official opening of the AWA Project stand at the MASA fair with the visit of the Ivorian Prime Minister, as part of the West Africa meeting of the ACP-EU Culture Program: support for the cultural sectors on the sidelines of the Professional Meetings of the MASA 2022. The stand remains open to visitors from March 7 to 12, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Good luck to our winners.
